K-Series IMT

picture showing inhalationThese devices feature an electronically controlled ‘tapered flow resistance’ that uses a computer controlled rotary valve to create the resistance to your in-breath. Because of this, resistance is not fixed at the same level throughout your breath (unlike a pressure threshold device), because the device automatically reduces the resistance as you progress through your breath, matching the load to your declining muscle strength.

The tapered flow enables you to perform a longer inspiration and use a wider range of breathing muscles so you achieve higher flow and higher tidal volumes for better results.

Classic and Plus IMT

picture showing inhalationThese devices create a resistance to your in-breath using a precisely calibrated, spring loaded ‘pressure threshold’ valve. The training is similar to weightlifting.

The resistance to breathing in, (weight you are lifting), is created by the adjustable spring loaded valve. Only when you generate enough inspiratory power will the valve open at the ‘pressure threshold’ you set. It’s this that presents a challenge to your breathing muscles. You can adjust the breathing load to make the resistance lighter or heavier and training easier or harder.

Wellness IMT & EMT

picture showing inhalation & exhalationThe POWERbreathe Wellness IMT device offers an evidence-based, drug-free treatment for people where dyspnea is present. The POWERbreathe EX1 Wellness EMT device is recommended for use with patients with compromised expiratory muscles.

The POWERbreathe Wellness Plus offers the lowest entry level load of any threshold IMT device currently available, enabling patients with severe breathing difficulties, to begin training their breathing muscles which otherwise could not be trained.

The KH-Series of electronic IMT devices are designed specifically for use only by Healthcare Professionals and their patients.

EX1 EMT

picture showing exhalationThese NEW POWERbreathe EX1 Expiratory Muscle Training (EMT) devices use a precisely calibrated spring-loaded ‘pressure threshold’ valve to create a resistance to your out-breath; your exhale. It is similar to weight-lifting and works in the same way that the POWERbreathe Plus IMT devices work to strengthen the muscles you use to breathe in.

As you breathe out through the POWERbreathe EX1 Expiratory Muscle Training device, the resistance created by the adjustable training load that you set, exercises your expiratory muscles, improving strength, function and endurance.

POWERbreathe Smart Adaptor & ActiBreathe® App

The innovative POWERbreathe Smart Adaptor takes mechanical POWERbreathe Plus (IMT) and POWERbreathe EX1 (EMT) breathing training to the digital age. Designed to work seamlessly with the ActiBreathe® App, the POWERbreathe Smart Adaptor captures real-time performance data during inspiratory muscle training (IMT) and Expiratory Muscle Training (EMT) sessions. It allows you to track progress, set goals, and test your breathing strength with precision. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced user, the POWERbreathe Smart Adaptor helps you to unlock more potential from every breath.

Choose from our two product options: a bundle offer that pairs the Smart Adaptor with a POWERbreathe Plus IMT or/and EX1 EMT device for comprehensive training and great value, or the standalone POWERbreathe Smart Adaptor with case—ideal for those who already own a POWERbreathe device and want to enhance their training.
