From humble beginnings to changing millions of lives – what started as a simple concept has become a global movement. In 1996, leading Human Performance and Sports Scientists at Loughborough University, England, UK, wondered if athletes’ performance could be further improved by training their breathing muscles. The answer was YES, resulting in the development of the first POWERbreathe device. Further developments were made at Birmingham and Brunel Universities.
