This could be because the sleeve that is placed over the adjustment gauge has moved or is not on straight. When undertaking your breaths, especially during a rigorous training session, the sleeve can occasionally move and push against the adjustment gauge, opening the valve. Resolve this by ensuring the sleeve is on straight. You could also try holding the POWERbreathe at the top to prevent the sleeve moving. During very intensive training you may want to remove the sleeve altogether and hold the top part of the device.
Hi Joachim. If you disassembled the device for cleaning, there are a couple of things that would account for this: (1) If you removed the end cap, the one-way flap valve may have come loose. (2) You may need to check that you have screwed the adjuster back onto the threaded section, ensuring that the spring is in the correct position. We don’t recommend breaking the device down to this level when cleaning, but some people do, and the above is usually the reason why it feels like there is no longer a resistance to you in-breath. If the above doesn’t resolve things for you, then please contact [email protected] who will be able to help you further. Reply
