I have also been asking my GP about this (I actually bought my own some years ago) as an asthma sufferer. When I found out it was on prescription I have asked for it, to see what they say but they ignore my requests. It’s a joke! Reply
We’re sorry to hear that, Aldo. Unfortunately, I think, because money is tight in the NHS, budgets are spent on other things. But we can understand your frustration. You can also purchase the POWERbreathe Medic IMT device on our website, and if you sign-up for our newsletter, you will be sent a code for 10% off the POWERbreathe Medic Plus IMT device. We hope, in a small way, this helps. Reply
We’re sorry to hear of your experience Richard. Thank you for letting us know and please look out for an email in response to this. Reply
My G.P. will not prescribe this for me; this is classed as a double red medicine and I have been refused funding even though my G.P. can get this @£17.90. I have even offered to pay for the prescription myself; they refuse to prescribe. It seems that it is not easily available even to those whom qualify (which I do) I do not have a specialist assigned to me and those that do are experiencing a minimum 8 month wait. This is about money, nothing else and defeats any “prescription” availability qualification. Reply
